privacy policy

last updated: may 25, 2026 · operator: aaam.dev

Who the app is for

tir (“we”, “the app”) is operated by Aman Shrivastava (trading as aaam.dev). This policy describes how we handle information when you play tir on a mobile device. The app is rated 4+ and not directed at children under 13.

Anonymous accounts by default

tir does not require email, phone number, or password. When you first launch the app, we create an anonymous account on your device using Firebase Authentication. The anonymous account is tied to your installation, not to your identity. Sign out, reinstall, or tap “delete account” at any time to discard it.

Information we collect

Profile

Game-play data

Operational data

We do not collect: email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, health data, advertising IDs (IDFA), or any tracking identifiers.

How we use information

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or attribution tools.

Where data is processed

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions) to host backend data. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. See Google’s Firebase documentation for more on subprocessors.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account exists and as needed to operate the service.

How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your account and all linked data from inside the app:

  1. Open tir.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the home screen.
  3. Tap the red “delete account” button.
  4. Confirm in the alert.

What gets deleted:

Past round-result blobs may retain your anonymous user ID as part of operational logs (chess.com / League of Legends post-deletion convention). These are not user-facing and are not linked to any contact information.

If you cannot access the app, email support@aaam.dev with the approximate date of your last play and we will process the deletion within 7 days.

Security

We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS) for client communication with Firebase. Firestore security rules restrict reads and writes to the data that belongs to your account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new policy at this URL and update the “Last updated” date.
